Nexus
In the book of 1 Samuel we find the nation at odds with the Phillistines who were once again trying to oppose and hinder the people of God. The would send out their "champion' Goliath who would taught the people of God. The people of God waiting and longed for a "champion" to arise. The term "champion" comes from a Hebrew word meaning "in the middle" or a "man between two camps.'
The "middle man' was the one fighter who would represent their whole camp and fight on their behalf. David was a middle man, one who served the purposes of God in his generation. The College and Career ministry of First AG is called "nexus" because the word nexus means "middle". It is this group that no longer fits the genre of youth but is not quite the matured married with kids genre either, they're in the middle, hence nexus. I believe God wants to raise up those "middle men/women" to find and fulfill destiny and release the kingdom of God in all they do.
If you have graduated high school but havn't crossed the age barrier of 30 (somewhere between 18-30) then Nexus is where you want to be, in the middle and doing life together!
